A student, Karla, longs for her boyfriend who is abroad. The relationship got as pale as the sweet comforting lies he whispers from the other side of the world, but Karla isnt ready to give it up yet. Since her boyfriend doesnt come home as he promised, she decides to visit him instead. Thatfore she needs money and starts to work in a shabby bar. She meets her dazzling collegue Sugar who just got kicked out of her apartment. Karla offers Sugar to host her. But Sugar doesnt come alone. She brings her husband and a kid. The visitors occupy the apartment as it was their own. Sugar and her husband confide to Karla two contradictionary stories about the true reasons why they are on the run. Both stories are very believable, both visitors are very loveable. Karla can t see the truth, but gets forced to help weather the one or the other.
