Before joining Ouat Media, Fred Joubaud spent a decade with Premium Films, an international short film distribution company based in Paris, France. Fred has represented numerous award-winning films at international festivals, including multiple Oscar nominees and the 2007 Oscar winner. Fred has spent the last few years living in Los Angeles and is finally ready to trade his surfboard in for skis!

Jessica manages international film acquisitions for Ouat Media. Based on her previous years of experience in television sales and marketing, Jessica has an eye for finding successful films. She has traveled to festivals and markets around the world seeking quality films. Her previous life had her in the publishing industry where she developed her skills in film criticism. Jessica’s hobbies include extensive travel and she is currently writing and developing a television series.

Kristine manages the Festival Services (OMFS) and all distribution operations at Ouat Media. After working in the Philippines in feature film promotion, Kristine quickly gained distribution experience in Canada with companies like  CFC Distribution. Because of her experience with festivals and her knowledge of many of their programs, Kristine works closely with her OMFS clients to pick the festivals that hopefully lead the films to a successful festival run. She continues to represent Ouat Media at international film festivals and markets for Canadian sales and conducts master classes on festival strategies. To find her at a film festival, simply walk your way to the nearest food or beverage stand—she’s the short Asian girl holding a burger 5 times the size of her hand.

Miguel Ortega is the first international Acquisitions Manager to join Ouat Media. Ortega has spent the last several years as the head of International Sales at ImCine (Mexican Film Institute), the Co-Director and founder of the Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico, and of the newly appointed Associate Director of the Cancun International Film Festival. Miguel's relationships and stature in the industry will be a key factor in Ouat Media's further expansion into the Mexican and South American market - where the content is in great demand and of very high quality.
